Hi everyone! Behold, the summaries for this year's Thorki Baby Bang! 

For now, these summaries are just here to look at, but on July 21 (at 8 PM Manila time), this post will be opened for commenting. As soon as this post is open for commenting, the claims process will start.

 

The summaries are under the cut at the end of the post, but please read the following information first:

1. Summaries will go up for viewing on July 18, 2020 at 8 PM Manila time. 

At this point, you will not be able to claim any fics yet, but you can look at all the (anonymous) summaries and decide which fic you want. 

 

2. Claims will open on July 21, 2020 at 8 PM Manila time. We will open this Dreamwidth post for commenting.

This is how claiming works: you comment with your top three choices and we'll give you your priority fic that hasn't been claimed yet (i.e. if your first choice has already been claimed we'll give you your second choice, and so on).

3. Claims will work on a first come-first served basis.

 

4. For the first round of claims, one artist can claim only one fic.

 

Usually there are more fics than artists available. 

 

If, after the first round of claims, there are still fics that are unclaimed, we will open the second round of claims. For the second round, artists can choose a second fic from the fics that have not yet been claimed.

 

This is to ensure that each fic will get at least one piece of art.

Title: Falling Like Rain

During their stay, the couple experienced unexplainable events around the chalet. Those happenings worsened Loki’s mental health, as he couldn’t tell if they were real or just his hallucinations, until he found a notebook that led to the revelation of everything.

Summary: Comic-Verse AU end of War-Of-Realms. King Thor comic doesn’t happen, Loki comic didn’t happen yet. This is an AU with some elements from both those comics. Thor receives a suggestion from his advisors that he consider seeking a Queen for Asgard. He doesn’t agree so they summon Loki to convince him. Loki agrees to help manage it all so that Thor doesn’t get trapped into anything. It doesn’t go like either of them expect it to as old feelings return and it gets complicated. Rating is Mature.

However, as he and the rabbit zoom through the Quantum Realm, that group (alongside Doctor Banner) is transported back to New Asgard 2023, but something seems off about it. To Thor's discovery, Loki is alive and well on this World. As Thor's own insecurities shine through, Loki is there to show and remind him that he is still loved - not matter what.

This story touches on: Vanaheimr being a much more open and liberated realm than Asgard, Thor and Loki having a deeply close and borderline incestuious relationship before the sex even begins, Loki struggling with being gay in a repressed society with very ridgid views of sex and men who enjoy bottoming, Thor being a fertility god and what that power means for him, Loki not realising he's in love with Thor while Thor is much more in touch with and aware of his desires and feelings.  

The setting is a brothel tavern and then one of the brothel bedrooms. Characters are nude for most of the story.

Only that soon Thor's little crush grows into something more and when he realizes Loki might actually be interested in him, he's determined to win him over.

But like the conch that could transport its listener to the shore, therein the deep lay secrets more valuable than any treasure. Men would forever covet. Greed in their nature, lust in their eyes. It was for their own sake that they now kept to themselves, to extents dark and fathomless. There were depths along the ocean floor that would go longer uncharted than even the moon’s surface: here they could be safe.

 

Or that was the idea. For even merfolk have their young, and among them are those born curious.

 

There was a curiosity within one that was already too much like longing.

Should be easy, right? Except buried feelings are brought to light, made even more complicated with make out sessions that go too far, or maybe don’t go far enough.

Summary:

There is a very small village near a very large, very old forest—the Ironwood. The wood is full of secret dangers, and it is home to a beast the villagers call the Angrboda, the Sorrow Bringer. The villagers carry out their quiet lives within the neat fence surrounding their village. They tell their children dark tales to teach them never to wander into the vasts of the Ironwood.

In the little village, there lives a young beekeeper and farmer named Thor. He is bright and sunny and laughs with his friends and lives happily with his mother and father in their small cottage in their small world. 

 

But Thor is daring, and he is curious. He sometimes walks beyond the outskirts of the village. And one moonlit night, he sees a luminous, beautiful pair of eyes watching him from the Ironwood.

Thor tries not to return, but he is drawn to the forest. He leaves gifts for the strange creature, and he learns its name—Loki. Thor is enchanted by his odd beauty, by the bright green eyes, the dark tangle of raven hair, and the changeable skin that is creamy pale in the dark but in the sun shifts to leafy patterns and nearly disappears. 

 

When Thor can no longer resist Loki’s allure, he finds he must pay a steep price to be with his eerie beloved.

Summary:

 

A quarter of the Earth's population were born as Shapeshifters or more commonly known as "Shifters" - people with the ability to transform or shift their forms into canines, specifically wolves. Although, in rare cases there was an odd person or two who was born with the ability to turn into a large wild cat (tiger, lion, leopard, etc.) instead.

 

A Shifter's biology was different from a normal human's and they were split into three categories; Alphas, Betas and Omegas.

 

A majority of Shifters were Betas and weren't too different from regular humans besides their ability to shift into an animal. Alphas were the second most common group among Shifters and tended to be very large, aggressive and dominating.

 

Then there were Omegas, the rarest of them all.

 

Thor is an Alpha Shifter working as a mercenary and is hired by Thanos Titan, a local billionaire, to rescue his son -an Omega named Loki- who was kidnapped by an infamous crime lord named the Grandmaster.

 

But things are not as simple as they seem and upon meeting Loki, Thor's Alpha instincts go haywire and his priorities shift. He doesn't care about the job anymore. All he cares about is protecting this sweet little Omega, and to keep him safe, no matter the cost.

Something caught his eye. There was one painting in the corner that contained a human shape. It was a deceptively-simple figure drawing in thick, confident strokes, creating the image of a person with their upper half leaning out of an invisible window. The window itself only existed by inference from the depiction of the sky: a clean square of bright blue brushed with clouds. The viewer saw the figure from the back, and their posture, the placement of their elbows, gave them the appearance of movement. 

 

An accident at the art gallery leaves Thor with minor head trauma and the past three years of his life wiped from his memory. As he grapples with a new life—a new city, a new apartment, and a new, easy relationship with his brother—he finds himself enchanted and frustrated by a recurring subject in his paintings. A figure with their face always turned to the side, obscured, but painted with such attention and devotion that it makes Thor ache. He just wishes he could remember who he’s fallen in love with.

What the gangs wanted was the Odinson family to crumble from the very core, and that meant attacking the very person Thor loved the most: his brother.

Loki’s walking by himself in the surf, carrying his sandals and the bag he’s been keeping his sunscreen and wallet and like three bags of candy in all week, and Thor almost physically aches to see him. His dark hair is gold-tinged from the sunset, all curly and wild like he got it wet swimming and let it dry in the breeze… Thor wants to dig his fingers into it, fluff it up like he’s done a million times in the halls at school when he wants to bug him, but he also wants to leave his hands in it and tilt Loki’s chin up so he can kiss him. He knows how soft those curls are already, but he still wants to find out about his lips.

Summary: Asgard has fallen but something new rises from the ashes, Thor and Loki finally complete the bond that has always been between them. As they journey towards Earth, they learn what has happened while they were gone and celebrate the news that Loki is to have a child. They find that a home is not a place but a family.

Summary: When Loki gets Thor banished, he expects Thor to be back home in Asgard within a year, maybe a few at most. When he notices Thor not working towards coming home, he looks into it, and finds out that Thor is in love with a midgardian woman.  He doesn't like this, so he finds a way to Midgard to try and convince Thor to come home.

 

Or the one where I rewrite Thor 1 where Loki doesn't attack Midgard and Thor settles for being on Midgard.
